Your Vehicles Service Times
Mercedes-Benz recommends A/C service every two years, including checking cooling capacity and testing for a/c leaks and Mercedes-Benz recommends a brake flush every two years.
1998-Present (All Models)
A-services from 1998-2003 model years are done in increments of 10K miles, so at 10000, 30000, 50000, 70000 etc, as of 2003 model years it went to 13K mile increments; 13000, 39000, 65000 etc. They change the names from A-Service and C-service or service 1 are the most common. On the service we perform oil and filter change. Reset the service light. Check front and rear brake pads. Top off all fluids. Adjust tire pressures. Inspect front and rear brakes. Check for any major fluid leaks and check all exterior lights for proper operation. A-Services or Service 1’s can be done in 30 minutes and MOST times no appointments are necessary.

B-Services from model years 1998-2003 are done in increments of 20K miles, for example at 20000, 40000, 60000 miles etc. From model years of 2003 and newer the increments changed to 26K miles, for example 26000, 52000, 78000, 104000 miles. They change the names 2003 to B-service D-service F-service or Service 2. We although go by mileage to determine which service need to be done. When performing B-Services or Service 2 we perform oil and filter change. Reset service light. Top off all fluids. Rotate tires. Replace engine air filter(s). Replace cabin air filter(s). Replace wiper blade(s). Install 44k fuel additive. Install MOA oil additive. Perform FREE vehicle diagnostics on all computers($100 savings). Perform FREE computer software updates ($100 value per update) to vehicles that apply. We check front and rear end for worn parts. Check all lights, replace bulbs as necessary. Check rear end for worn parts. Check front and rear brake pads. Check for any fluid leaks. Check climate control for proper operation. Check for engine and transmission oil leaks. Check for coolant leaks. Check for power steering leaks. If something is found in diagnostics, you pay only the labor to install and the part. We will not charge for diagnosis unless diagnostics exceed and hour which doesn’t happen very often. The idea of the B-Service is to ensure the car will be great for the next 26K miles.
B-Service For All Models, All Years
Due to years of experience with Mercedes-Benz vehicles we STRONGLY recommend from model years late 1996-2007 with the 722.6 transmissions to perform transmission intervals once every 60K miles even though it’s not listed on Mercedes-Benz service sheets. The transmission service is NOT included in any A-Services, B-Services or Service 2. They are additional costs. As of 2007 models that have the 722.9 transmissions, the service intervals change to every 40K miles, they too are NOT included in the cost of scheduled A and B-Services.

1980-1997 (All Models)
As of 1998, Mercedes-Benz has been using new engine technology that can go 10,000 miles between maintenance intervals, now referred to as A-services and B-services. Changing your oil every 3,000 miles is a thing of the past! No more oil change reminder stickers on your windshield, as your on-board computer will let you know when you’re due for service. If you stick to the service plan per Mercedes-Benz recommendations, you’ll save at least $400 in oil changes alone per year based on the average annual mileage of 12,000 miles!
